Hudgins finished the weekend with two goals and two assists as the Women’s Hockey team swept visiting SUNY Potsdam. In Friday’s 8-0 rout of the Bears the junior recorded two goals and an assist. At the 7:33 mark of the opening period the Purple and Gold extended its lead to three. Taylor Steadman '16 fed Samantha Curk '13 who had an initial shot that was saved. Hudgins continued to jostle for the loose puck in front of the net and found a shot that made its way over Dawna Salvarinas shoulder for the score.

The Soaring Eagles continued their first period success by getting on the board 10:17 into the second period. Steadman took the puck behind the net and fed a quick pass to Hudgins out in front who beat the goaltender stick side. Less than a minute later Wilgosh and Hudgins assisted a Steadman score to break open the lead at 5-0.

Hudgins added an assist on Elmira’s first score in a 5-1 win on Saturday. Elmira got on the board first at the 7:03 mark of the opening period. Ella Stewart '14 took an initial shot from the left side that was saved by Potsdam netminder Jen Conophy. Hudgins then had a rebound shot strike off the right post before Briana Saltstone '14 finished it off for the score.

The Women’s Hockey team returns to action this weekend when they travel to Middlebury, VT to take part in the Cardinal-Panther Classic. The Soaring Eagles take on host Middlebury Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
