On the hardwood, Lauren Franklin '20 helped lead the Soaring Eagles to their first win of the season on Sunday against last year's New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) runner-up, Becker. The Binghamton, New York, native logged a career-high-tying 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field (55.5%). She also finished with team highs in rebounds (12), assists (6) and steals (3), as EC edged the Hawks, 67-61, in their home opener inside Speidel Gymnasium.
For the week, the senior forward averaged 9.0 points with team highs in rebounds (8.0), assists (3.0), and steals (2.0) in a pair of non-conference games. Additionally, her double-double marked the eighth of her EC career.
Franklin and the Soaring Eagles continue their non-conference slate with a trip to Aurora, New York, to face the Wells College Express on Tuesday, November 19, at 6:00 p.m.
